Continuous School Improvement (CSI)
At the Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education (CCRCE) our focus is student success. We are proud of our student-centered focus and the belief that all students can learn. As a learning organization, we also have high expectations for our staff.
At CCRCE we focus on continuous improvement, especially for our staff who work with students everyday. Our schools - through the Continuous School Improvement (CSI) process - work to improve the quality of classroom instruction for students, as well school climate.
Each of our schools is required to participate in the CSI process, setting goals for student improvement on a cyclical basis. That means that once one CSI process ends, the school will begin planning for another. The time it takes to meet the goals set out in schools' CSI processes varies from school to school.
You can see the CSI goals for your school in our Strategic Plan or you can ask your school for a copy. School-developed CSI goals inform CCRCE's Strategic Plan and help to guide processes as we move through the Strategic Plan implementation.
CSI Annual Reports
Schools are required to publish their CSI goals and to produce a report at the end of each year.

The CSI Process
CCRCE's CSI process is built on the Continuous School Improvement Framework, mandated by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and is directly tied to a number of improvement processes: Professional Growth and Appraisal Program (teachers), Learning Community Practices (teams) and our 2013-2016 Strategic Plan.
