Me to We at Redcliff Middle School
On Thursday, June 11th, the Redcliff World Changers group hosted a mini We Day for the whole school. The event served two great purposes: celebrating the amazing work the group has done throughout the year, along with the support of the Redcliff student body; and as a vehicle for continued inspiration. The afternoon included special invited guests Karen Casey, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development and MLA Lenore Zann, as well as featured student speakers, music, special presentations, prizes and even a little dancing. It was a fantastic experience!!
Redcliff students have helped raise over $2300 for health care in Ghana, $600 for Hub House with the help of The Credit Union of Colchester County and The Village Family Pharmachoice, as well as through the sale of popcorn and freezie sales. Recently students worked with Royal Bank employees via the Blue Water project resulting in a $1000 donation which will be donated to a clean water initiative through Free The Children. All this since March! We cannot wait to see where the Redcliff World Changers will go next year!
