Pre-Primary Out of Area Access
Request Process for Out-of-Area Access to Pre-Primary Program
CCRCE acknowledges that in some Pre-Primary programs, enrollment is low enough to accommodate some additional children from neighboring catchment areas. Provided that the child meets the general eligibility criteria for the Pre-Primary Program, applicants will be accepted on a first come, first admitted basis if there is room to accommodate with existing space and staff.
As in all cases, CCRCE does not provide school bus transportation for children attending Pre-Primary.
For the 2018-19 School Year, the following sites currently have at least one available space for additional children:
- Brookfield Elementary
- Cobequid Consolidated School
- Cyrus Eaton Elementary
- Debert Elementary
- Frank H MacDonald
- Hilden Elementary School
- Kennetcook District
- Oxford Regional Education
- Rawdon District Elementary
- River Hebert District School
- Thorburn Consolidated School
- West End Memorial
- Winding River Consolidated
The Pre-Primary Out of Access application form will be accepted starting October 9th. Applications will be time and date stamped.
Any parents known to be interested through previous inquiries will be contacted, if possible.
Acceptance of out-of-area children through this process is for the Pre-Primary year only. The child’s home address will still determine home school for Primary Registration the following year (parent signature acknowledging this will be on the official acceptance form).
