Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education wants input from families and community members from Trenton Elementary and Trenton Middle School to help provide ideas and suggestions for the newly announced combined school.
In June 2023, a new school was announced to replace Trenton Elementary and Trenton Middle School. The new school will serve about 280 students from pre-primary to grade 8.
The Regional Centre for Education is reaching out to the school community and the wider public to provide input on the consolidation of these two schools into one new school.
The online portion of the engagement focused on gathering initial input opens on November 14 and closes on November 21, 2023. After November 21, CCRCE will review participant input and bring back the feedback to the school communities for additional insights before developing recommendations.
Families and community members can provide their thoughts through an online tool called ThoughtExchange. Along with the online platform, there are voicemail, email or traditional mail options to provide input.
